Magnesia stablized zirconia crucible is made of zirconia ceramic with magnesia as stabilizer, high mechanical strength, good wear resistance and high temperature resistance, which can be used at a temperature of 2000℃, also with good thermal stability and corrosion resistance. Stability to acid, alkali and alkaline melts, glass melts and molten metal is good, and non-wetting to most of the molten metal. It is mainly used high melting point metals melting and calcination test.

Usage Instructions

 

 

1. Can not use gasoline spray gun, acetylene gun, alcohol burner to heat the MSZ ceramic crucible directly.
 
2. Before using the MSZ ceramic crucible for the first time, put it in the oven at about 105℃ for 120 minutes to remove the water on crucible surface.
 
3. Heating/cooling speed should not be too fast, below 1200℃ shall not over 5℃/ min; and above 1200℃ shall be controlled within 4℃/ min, too fast heating or cooling may lead to crucible cracking.
 
4. The distance between the crucible and the heating body (silicon carbon heting tube, heating rod or heating wire) should be no less than 2cm.
 
5. The bottom should not be in direct contact with the bottom of the furnace. It is recommended to use corundum piece and other temperature resistant substances to lift the crucible to form air convection.
 
6. The material should be added according to the volume of the crucible, and should not be squeezed too tightly to avoid the metal thermal expansion and cause crack of the crucible.
 
7. When taking out the metal molten liquid, scoop it out with a spoon, in the case that caliper need to be used,   avoid excessive force on the crucible which may shorten the service life.
 
8. Safety during use: MSZ ceramic crucible works at high temperature, and personal protective equipment such as heat-releasing gloves and protective glasses should be worn when using to avoid burns or eye injuries.
 
9. Storage: when store MSZ ceramic crucible, it should be placed in a dry and ventilated place to avoid friction or collision with other items, so as not to scratch or damage the surface of the crucible.
