Properties of Silicon Carbide Sleeve

 

Silicon carbide sleeve has high hardness, small friction coefficient, good wear resistance, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, high strength, good thermal shock resistance, and small thermal expansion coefficient.

 

1. Silicon carbide ceramic sleeve high hardness, Vickers hardness is higher than 23GPa, with very good wear resistance, long service life, the sleeve replacement frequency can be reduced;

 

2. Silicon carbide has high temperature resistance, good thermal shock resistance, small thermal expansion coefficient, corrosion resistance, it is suitable for a variety of harsh working environment;

 

3. Silicon carbide ceramic material is non-toxic or harmless, the material can pass the FDA certification, no pollution to the material, and can meet the requirements of food-grade media transportation;

1. Select the appropriate silicon carbide sleeve according to the design size and working environment, so as to avoid premature aging of the sleeve and reduce its service life;
 
 
2. Clean the dust and impurities of the silicon carbide sleeve and the mating surface before installation, to ensure the service life of the silicon carbide seal;
 
 
3. Install the silicon carbide sleeve in the correct direction, so as not to cause the fitting is not tight with gaps, or the extrusion pressure is too large to cause damage;
 
 
4. The ambient temperature of the silicon carbide seal ring should not exceed the maximum use temperature;
 
 
5. The status of silicon carbide sleeve should be checked regularly, should be replaced in time if any cracks or damage.
