Usage Instructions

1. Preliminary Cleanup: Before employing the alumina crucible, initiate a thorough cleaning to eradicate surface impurities and dust. Employ a soft cloth or brush for a delicate wipe; eschew hard objects or metal brushes to avert potential scratching of the crucible surface.
 
2. Vibration Avoidance: Exercise caution during crucible use, steering clear of harsh vibrations or collisions to safeguard the structural integrity of the crucible.
 
3. Corrosive Substance Caution: While the alumina crucible exhibits robust corrosion resistance to potent acids and alkalis, prolonged exposure may instigate chemical reactions, impacting its longevity. Minimize interaction with strong acids and bases, opting for gentler reagents during use.
 
4. Temperature Precaution: Establish the preheating temperature at approximately 105℃, ensuring a gradual and even heating process. Maintain meticulous control over the heating rate, limiting the opening of the furnace door. Keep rates below 1200℃ at <5℃/min and above 1200℃ at <4℃/min.
 
5. Heating Directive: Refrain from using gasoline spray guns, acetylene guns, or alcohol spray burners directly to prevent explosive cracking. Maintain a distance of at least 2cm between the crucible and the heating body. For larger crucibles, elevate using corundum sheets for enhanced air convection and prolonged service life.
 
6. Residue Clearance: It's permissible to eliminate residue from the crucible surface while still hot; however, avoid using acid and alkali substances for cleaning.
 
7. Sample Suitability: Recommended for molten samples containing weakly alkaline substances like anhydrous Na2CO3; unsuitable for strongly alkaline or acidic substances, such as Na2O2, NaOH, and potassium pyrosulfate K2S2O7.
 
8. Safety Guidelines: Due to the elevated operating temperatures, employ personal protective equipment like heat-releasing gloves and protective glasses to mitigate the risk of burns or eye injuries.
 
9. Storage Recommendations: Store alumina crucibles in a dry, well-ventilated space to prevent friction or collisions, thereby averting potential scratches or damage to the crucible's surface.
